Diagnostics:
Remirea maritima is a sedge can be found on sandy shores. It has stiff, grooved leaves spreading in all directions and ending with a pointed tip. The inflorescence is not stalked and positioned terminally.
Interesting Facts:
While its current status is common, it seems to be isolated at East Coast Park and the southern islands of Singapore. More recent records for the latter includes Sentosa, Pulau Semakau, and Lazarus Island.
