Diagnostics:

A usually small treelet or tree that can sometimes grow up to 45m tall (Tan et al., 2014). The trunk can be fissured or smooth, and can have buttress roots of up to 2.5m. The leaves are glabrous, with the juvenile leaves being lobed, while the adult leaves have elliptic to obovate in shape.
