A small tree to about 10m. The leaves are tripinnately compounded, with the leaflets oppositely arranged with a terminal leaflet. Prominent leaf scars can be seen on the ends of the branches. The flowers are white or cream coloured. The fruits are long pods, giving its other common name of Drumstick Tree.
