Diagnostics:

Small tree up to 10m. It has paripinnate compound leaves. The young leaves hang pendulously down. Usually found cultivated in parks, for its attractive yellow-orange inflorescence.


Interesting Facts:

In its native habitat, it is commonly found growing along streams. The roots of the tree is used to make good handles for parangs (NParks, 2001).
