Thottea grandiflora is a common shrub found in the undergrowth of our inland nature reserves. The large broad leaves are covered with hairs, and especially dense on the underside. The leafy branches have a characteristic zigzag pattern. It bears interesting large red flowers that hangs down like a bell.
